Besides the general audience, many film personalities have also come in support of Christopher Nolan's latest film, The Odyssey. On Thursday, actor Tom Cruise praised the film and expressed his interest in watching it once again. The latest to praise it is cinematographer Ravi K Chandran.

Taking to his Instagram Stories space, Ravi K Chandran wrote, "The Odyssey is simply spectacular. Nolan just keeps raising the bar. Stunning visuals, brilliant performances, an unforgettable score, and storytelling that's epic yet deeply emotional. One of the best big-screen experiences I've ever had. Don't miss this one."

On the other hand, filmmaker Edgar Wright shared a review for the film with effusive praise. Wright shared, "I was hugely excited to see The Odyssey last night in IMAX 70mm, it had me completely thrilled and transported for the entire running time. I will always cheer on Chris Nolan for his unfailing commitment to both celluloid and the theatrical experience, and this sweeping, stirring, yet also intimate adventure is no exception."

Wright drew parallels between Nolan's film and some other titles. "Although its primary inspiration, of course, is Homer’s text, I also felt the influence of the Ray Harryhausen films of my youth. I absolutely loved 'Jason and the Argonauts' and all of the Sinbad films, and Chris pays homage to them in a grounded, contemporary and, at times, genuinely terrifying way."

The Odyssey stars Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, and Zendaya, among others. Wright praised the cast, while making special mentions of the editing and the music. "There’s much to rave about on every level, not least the abundantly starry cast, but I also came away thinking about Ludwig Göransson’s propulsive score and Jennifer Lame’s intricate editing," the filmmaker, who recently helmed The Running Man, wrote.

The filmmaker ended his review by urging the audience to catch the cinematic adaptation of Homer's poem, Odyssey. "I’m sure many of you already have your tickets, and I’m very keen to see it again myself. Here’s to sweeping epics, it's that big screen was made for. Go see it," Wright signed off.
