Actor-musician Shruti Haasan has moved into a new home in Chennai and marked the occasion with a traditional grihapravesh ceremony. Photographs and videos from the intimate house-warming ritual surfaced on social media on Monday, offering fans a glimpse of the actor's latest milestone.
The images show Shruti taking part in the puja while seated on the floor of her new residence. Arrangements for the ceremony, including offerings, sweets and the keys to the house, were also seen in the pictures, which were shared by fan pages and later circulated by paparazzi accounts online.
One of the posts accompanying the images described the occasion as Shruti stepping into "a beautiful new chapter", adding that the actor-musician celebrated her new Chennai home with a traditional griha pravesh ceremony "surrounded by love, blessings, and fresh beginnings."
The new property comes nearly a year after filmmaker Farah Khan visited Shruti's distinctive Mumbai residence, which the actor had personally shown her during an episode of Farah's vlog. The home, known for its gothic aesthetic, featured spaces dedicated to Shruti's love for music, art and cooking.
A recently shared video from the Chennai residence also offered a sneak peek into the interiors, including a spacious kitchen where Shruti enjoys cooking and a living area that doubles as her creative space for music and content production.
On the professional front, Shruti was last seen in Lokesh Kanagaraj's Coolie (2025) and also made a special appearance in the song from Buchi Babu Sana's Peddi, starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor. She is awaiting the release of Aakasamlo Oka Tara and Train.
