On Sunday, Dushara Vijayan, who plays a prominent role in the upcoming Madhavan-headliner, G.D.N., shared an anecdote about how life has come full circle for her with the film. She took to her Instagram handle to share photos of herself with Madhavan from the trailer launch event and penned a short note.

"Growing up in Coimbatore, I remember school trips to the GD Naidu Museum—never imagining that one day, I would be part of bringing his story to life on screen. From standing there as a child, learning about his extraordinary life… to now stepping into his world—life has truly come full circle," she started the note.

Further, she continued, "My heartfelt gratitude to the entire cast, crew, and production team for this incredible opportunity. And to the audience—you are not ready for what you are about to witness." The photos featured her alongside Madhavan on one of GD Naidu's first-owned motorcycles.

Often hailed as the "Edison of India", GD Naidu was a self-taught engineer, inventor and entrepreneur from Coimbatore who transformed Indian manufacturing through practical, affordable innovations. He developed India's first indigenous electric motor and created a wide range of products, from fans and razors to petrol engines and ticket machines, earning a reputation as one of the country's greatest innovators.

Written and directed by Krishnakumar Ramkumar of Oho Enthan Baby fame, G.D.N stars Madhavan in the titular role alongside Dushara Vijayan, Sathyaraj, Jayaram, Priyamani, Vinay Rai, Aditi Balan and Yogi Babu.

Produced by Vijay Moolan and Varghese Moolan under Varghese Moolan Pictures, with Madhavan and Sarita backing the project through Tricolour Films, the film features music by Govind Vasantha and cinematography by Aravind Kamalanathan. G.D.N is scheduled to release in theatres on July 17 in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
