The Thalaivaa prophecy is now successfully complete. In a life-comes-a-full-circle moment for director Vijay as well as CM Vijay, the duo met each other and exchanged pleasantries recently, marking their reunion over a decade after their collaboration in Thalaivaa (2013). The film was the first spark, paving way for massive speculations on the then actor Vijay's interest to join the political game in Tamil Nadu, with the tagline 'Time To Lead' fuelling further curiosities.

In an iconic turnover, the director took the same tagline as a framed gift for the newly-elected Chief Minister. Photos of the meeting have been going viral across social media platforms.

Thalaivaa also starred Amala Paul, Sathyaraj, Santhanam, Abhimanyu Singh, Ragini Nandwani, Nassar and Rajeev Pillai in prominent roles. It revolved around Vishwa (Vijay), a dancer who also who runs a small business. After finding out that his father Ramadurai (Sathyaraj), an underworld don is killed by an enemy, he takes up his position to take revenge against those who conspired against his father, leading to his death.

The film was at the centre of controversies for the same tagline 'Time To Lead'. At the height of the issues, bomb threats were also issued to the makers from an unknown individual warning against the screening of the film. Interestingly, Thalaivaa was released 11 days after it was originally planned to hit theatres, but without the tagline. Now, more than a decade later, director Vijay has gifted the very same tagline to the actor-turned-politician after he climbed the political ladder, lending it a renewed significance.

Earlier, director Venkat Prabhu too caled on CM Vijay, and gifted him the viral numberplate from GOAT which also hinted at his victory in the recent Tamil Nadu assembly elections.

Director Vijay, who last made Kadhal Reset Repeat, is now focusing on documenting Ajith Kumar's life on the racing track as a feature-length film. It is set to explore his passion for sport and his achievements in the field.
