A month after its theatrical release, Kadhal Reset Repeat, starring Madumkesh, Jiya Shankar, and Arjun Ashokan in lead roles, has premiered on OTT platform Prime Video.
Directed by Vijay, Kadhal Reset Repeat, which has music by Harris Jayaraj, follows Aditi as she gets into a major accident and gets diagnosed with anterograde amnesia. She remembers details from only one day and when she wakes up the next morning, she forgets everything. While the former shares that she eloped from her country to stay with them, Arjun Ashokan too says she was in love with him. But both of them seem to be hiding crucial details from her and Aditi is confused. In a world that resets each day, Aditi must uncover the truth before trusting the wrong person costs her everything.
Upon release on March 6, the film received mixed reviews from audiences and critics.
An excerpt from our CE review of the film read, "Kadhal Reset Repeat fails to answer a lot of logical questions, like why doesn’t any of them make Aditi record a video so she remembers the events of the previous day? By the time she does, it is already the climax, and it gets doubly frustrating to know that they did think of this but waited until the end of the movie for convenience's sake. However, since the film already has several other issues."
MS Bhaskar, Jayaprakash, Viji Chandrashekar also play key roles in the film.
On the technical front, Kadhal Reset Repeat has cinematography by Arvind Krishna and editing by Anthony. It has a story by A Mahadev and Vijay, with a screenplay by A Mahadev and dialogues by Vijay.
