Actor Atharvaa was last seen in Sudha Kongara's directorial Parasakthi alongside Sivakarthikeyan and Ravi Mohan in lead roles, and is now awaiting the release of Idhayam Murali. Amidst his busy schedule, the actor is now reportedly set to join hands with director Hari for his next.

The noted director, who made Rathnam in 2024 with Vishal in the lead, was set to collaborate with actor Prashanth for his 55th film. An announcement was made last year with them revealing that it will be a "fast-paced film", produced by actor, director and producer Thiagarajan, Prashanth’s father. However, there was no announcement since then and the film seems to have been dropped as Prashanth is now working on Ranjan – The Advocate, directed by his father which is an official remake of the hit Telugu film Court: State vs A Nobody.

After his planned film with Prashanth was shelved, Hari had entered discussions to direct a Telugu film starring Ravi Teja. However, that project also did not move forward and now, Hari has shifted his focus to directing Atharvaa in his next film.

While an official confirmation is awaited, Stone Bench Films expected to produce the project. The discussions are said to have progressed smoothly, and an official announcement is expected soon. Like Hari's previous films, this project is also expected to be a commercial entertainer.

Meanwhile, Atharvaa's upcoming film Idhayam Murali is slated to release in theatres on July 10. The film, also starring Kayadu Lohar and Preity Mukhundhan in leads, features Niharika NM, Sudhakar Jayaraman, Natty, Rakshan, Anju Kurian, Angelin B and Yashashree Rao in supporting roles. Fahadh Faasil is also part of the project in a key role.
