On Thursday, the director of actor Krishna Kulasekaran's next film, Balakrishnan, announced that the shooting for the film, tentatively titled KK 25, has been wrapped. Balakrishnan has directed the film from his own screenplay. The film went on floors back in April.

KK 25 is produced by Mahendraraj Santhosh Kumar and Kathiravan Karunanithi. The film marks the debuts of both producer Mahendraraj of Manu Manthra Creations and director Balakrishnan, who served as a co-director on last year’s GV Prakash starrer Rebel.

Krishna will be seen in the cop uniform for KK 25, which the makers have described as an "edge-of-seat crime investigation thriller laced with lots of twists and turns.” On the technical front, the film has cinematographer Gopal Krishnan, composer Kiran Surath N, editor Kavin Adithya, and art director Venkat Bala. More details about the film's extended cast, plot, genre and release date are yet to be announced by the makers.

Meanwhile, actor Krishna, who was last seen in the JioHotstar series, Parachute, also has The Mummy Returns coming up. Set to be directed by Jai Amar Singh, the film also stars Lollu Sabha Maaran, Redin Kingsley, Bjorn Surrao, Devadarshini, and Swathi Muppala.
