Actor Ravi Mohan is gaining plenty of appreciation for his performance in director Sudha Kongara's film Parasakthi, co-starring Sivakarthikeyan, Atharvaa, and Sreeleela. The other day, the actor's rumoured girlfriend, singer Kenishaa Francis said that Ravi is the 'Number One' star of the film and that it would work in theatres only because of him. Time is ripe to remind you of his role as Arulmozhi Varman in director Mani Ratnam's epic multistarrer Ponniyin Selvan. Arulmozhi Varman served as a departure from Ravi Mohan's typical characters and earned the actor appreciation from audiences across the country. The actor recently talked about the film's impact.

Speaking to Pearle Maaney, the Parasakthi actor said that every actor from Tamil cinema wanted to be a part of the Mani Ratnam film even if were in a limited role. He explained that the fact that so many stars and creative minds came together for the film itself ensured its success.

"I knew that it would be a wow-inducing film on the first day of shoot itself," Ravi said about the film. The actor also said that he would wake up every day thinking that he was part of the "greatest film". The actor admitted that he felt the pressure of having to live up to the importance of the role. He also revealed that he could become the character after the cameras rolled and until the end of a scene, and that he would feel the same pressure afterwards.

The actor also talked about what sets Mani Ratnam apart from other filmmakers. He said that if Mani Ratnam knows the potential of a scene to be the difference maker in a film, he would try even for months to achieve the perfect, whereas others would drop it and do it in a different way after trying for a few days. "It will have Mani sir's signature," the actor signed off.
