Beyond his performances in films, actor Sivakarthikeyan is also known for backing small, independent films as a producer. Some of the notable productions by the actor are Kanaa (2018), Vaazhl (2021), Kurangu Pedal (2024), and the latest film Thaai Kizhavi. At a recent promotional event for Thaai Kizhavi, the actor was asked whether he would produce a film starring Ajith Kumar.
In reply, he said that his production banner is still small and growing and does not have the financial capacity to back a film featuring a big star such as Ajith. However, the actor promised to do such a film if his production company grows and if Ajith accepts an offer for a project with it in the future. He suggested that if the above conditions are fulfilled, he would make a film that Ajith's fans can celebrate in theatres, such as one that releases in festivals.
The actor also said that he would keep backing "the right films" until the aforementioned situation happens at his production company.
Recently, Sivakarthikeyan met Ajith Kumar at a racing event in the Middle East. The actor took to social media and praised the superstar's commitment to and passion for motorsports. While the actor has shared screen space with Vijay in The Greatest of All Time, he is yet to star alongside Ajith.
Sivakarthikeyan was last seen in director Sudha Kongara's political film Parasakthi, opposite Atharvaa, Ravi Mohan, and Sreeleela, among others. Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming films include one film, which will be produced by Kamal Haasan, and another, with Thaai Kizhavi filmmaker Sivakumar Murugesan attached to both projects. While one of these films has been titled Seyon, the other project is yet to have a title.
