Aishwarya Rajinikanth's next project as a director has been announced to be in development. Kannan Ravi, who produced Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimayil, is backing the project under his KRG Productions banner, with Deepak Ravi as the co-producer.
Through their social media handle, the production handle also shared a statement, which shared, "We are a production house that firmly believes cinema thrives on meaningful collaborations, as filmmaking is truly a collective art built on shared vision, passion, and trust. With immense pride and excitement, Kanna Ravi Groups is delighted to announce our collaboration with Ms Aishwarya Rajinikanth for KRG Group's Production No 9."
They added, "This ambitious project is planned as a grand multi-lingual release in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi, reaching audiences across the nation. Conceived as a wholesome and sure-shot entertainer, the film promises to deliver a powerful and engaging cinematic experience for viewers of all backgrounds. We feel honored to present this prestigious venture and look forward to creating something truly memorable for audiences everywhere."
Further details about the project are yet to be announced.
Aishwarya made her debut as a director with the psychological drama, 3 (2012). She then went on to make Vai Raja Vai (2015), and Lal Salaam (2024), with her father, Rajinikanth, making an extended cameo appearance in the latter. She also made a documentary about stunt persons in the Tamil film Industry, titled Cinema Veeran (2017).
Meanwhile, the Jiiva-starrer Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimaiyil collected Rs 39.5 crores worldwide, according to Sacnilk.
