The year 2025 has been a rather quiet one for actor Vikram, with Veera Dheera Sooran being his sole release. Despite receiving plenty of positive reviews and gaining around 65 crore at the global box office (according to Sacnilk data), the film is not regarded as a commercial success. The last three years saw Vikram starring in three films: Thangalaan, Ponniyin Selvan: II, and Veera Dheera Sooran. Perhaps this is why the actor felt the need to explain why it is taking time for his films to release.

On Friday night, he took to social media and wrote, "Sometimes silence is preparation. I spent this year waiting for stories that moved me.
Grateful to now begin four films, each very different, with directors I deeply admire. I can’t wait to share these journeys with you."

One of these four projects is expected to be the actor's 63rd film, directed by first-timer Bodi Rajkumar and produced by Arun Viswa. An announcement regarding Chiyaan 63 came in 2024, and director Madonne Ashwin was attached to the project, but he has been replaced with Bodi Rajkumar.

The actor is also expected to come back for a sequel to Veera Dheera Sooran, directed by SU Arun Kumar who helmed the first part. An official confirmation about the development of the second part is still pending. At the same time, he is teaming up with '96 and Meiyazhagan director C Premkumar for his 64th film. We will have to wait for details about the actor's other projects.

Nevertheless, the news about him getting into four different projects is sure to excite fans of the actor. The actor has long been dealing with typical commercial entertainers, although he has experimented in them in his own way. Many fans are wishing that he gets back to the days of vintage Vikram, with projects similar to Sethu and Pithamagan.
