The promo video for Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth's film with director Nelson Dilipkumar is here. The so-called KH x RK promo promises a film with the quirks and eccentricities of director Nelson's previous work, especially Doctor. It also hints at a film with plenty of vintage elements, which are apparent in Rajinikanth and Kamal's costumes, the Mercedes-Benz car they travel in, and the music for the glimpse video.

The KH x RK promo begins with director Nelson wondering whom to talk to about the film first: Kamal Haasan or Rajinikanth. He eventually makes the arbitrary call of going into Kamal's room. When the director asks Kamal about what he wants to wear, the actor chooses the things that go against Rajinikanth's choices, and the same happens with the superstar. The video is alluding to the contrasting films that both actors have been making for a long time now. It also humorously refers to the pop culture debate about the skills of Kamal and Rajinikanth.

Eventually, the two make their way into a garage and get into the car, with Nelson and composer Anirudh at the back seat. Anirudh tells them that he has created a theme music blending the works of Beethoven and Bappi Lahiri. "Do you want to listen to it?" asks Anirudh. In response, an intense Kamal says, "We can listen to it later. I should ask you something before that: Who is the hero?" Rajinikanth also asks the same question before Kamal speeds his way through the garage. Interestingly, the makers leave it to the audience to figure it out for themselves, perhaps humorously suggesting that such debates are futile, especially now that the two are coming back together onscreen after a long time.

Inban Udhayanidhi of Red Giant Movies is producing the film, with the banner's own Arjun Durai and M Shenbaga Moorthy serving as co-producers. Speaking about the film, Kamal wrote on X, "A Special reunion with my friend Rajinikanth. Every great journey deserves another chapter! My best to Nelson Dilpkumar and Anirudh - and to Red Giant Movies for powering this collaboration."

Meanwhile, director Nelson wrote, "Some frames are iconic. Some frames are historic. Truly honoured and humbled to announce my next film. Reunion with the legends, superstar Rajinikanth sir and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan sir. With my dearest friend Anirudh."

The makers also announced that production on the film is set to commence soon and revealed the additional technical crew members. In addition to Anirudh, the film's technical team includes cinematographer Rajiv Menon, editor R Nirmal, art director DRK Kiran, and costume designer Pallavi Singh.

Meanwhile, Kamal is also producing a film starring Rajinikanth and directed by Don fame Cibi Chakravarthy.
