On Thursday, actor Ramya Nambessan confirmed being a part of the cast of Sivakarthikeyan's 26th outing, tentatively titled SK26. The film is helmed by Venkat Prabhu. Ramya shared a speculation post on her Instagram story that said Kalyani Priyadarshan and Ramya Nambessan were leading SK26 alongside Sivakarthikeyan and wrote "Next", confirming her presence.

Previously, there were reports suggesting that Bhagyashri Borse is set to be the female lead of the film. Speculations are also rife thatKalyani Priyadarshan has been roped in to play the female lead for the film. If rumours are to be true, this untitled project will mark her second collaboration with the filmmaker after Maanaadu (2021) as well as Sivakarthikeyan, with whom she previously acted in Hero (2019). But the makers are yet to officially announce the film's extended cast.

We had earlier reported last December that Venkat Prabhu was headed to Los Angeles to craft Sivakarthikeyan's look and the VFX of the film. According to reports, SK26 is said to be a sci-fi entertainer crafted with a huge budget and will see the actor playing two different roles in the film.

Venkat Prabhu, in a recent appearance at an award show, revealed that the film's script has been completed and Sivakarthikeyan is happy with how it has come out. He also said this film will have the actor playing a different character from other films in his career and added that it will be a fun project loved by all sections of the audience. The film is reportedly being produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, with music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Fans are also speculating that the film will involve themes of time travel, and expectations are sky-high for the entertainer.

Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan is currently filming for Seyon, helmed by Sivakumar Murugesan and backed by Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International. Sivakarthikeyan was recently seen in the Sudha Kongara directorial Parasakthi, which marked his 25th outing. Ramya Nambessan, on the other hand, was seen in Tamil series like Goli Soda Rising and Thalaimai Seyalagam. In Malayalam, her last film release was Her.
