The makers of Thaai Kizhavi, starring Radikaa Sarathkumar, held a special screening for Kamal Haasan recently at Tagore Film Centre in Chennai. Earlier this Thursday, Radikaa took to social media to share a video where Kamal can be seen attending the screening and appreciating the cast and crew. After the screening, Kamal clapped and hugged debutant director Sivakumar Murugesan for his work on the film.

It is worth noting that the legendary actor is producing Sivakumar's upcoming film Seyon, starring Sivakarthikeyan. Notably, Sivakarthikeyan, whose film Amaran Kamal backed through his Raaj Kamal Films International banner, is also the producer of Thaai Kizhavi. Sivakarthikeyan attended the screening, as did Radikaa's actor husband Sarathkumar. Interestingly, Sarathkumar's film Aazhi is also set to release on February 27, alongside Radikaa's film. Sarathkumar showed his appreciation for the film as well and embraced its director Sivakumar.

"To see him enjoy the film and embrace the team with such warmth… a moment we will treasure forever," Radikaa wrote in the caption for the post, referring to Kamal. Recently, Radikaa shared that Kamal was impressed by her transformation for the elderly woman character in the upcoming film.

Radikaa and Kamal shared the screen together in multiple films, including Swathi Muthyam and Per Sollum Pillai. Kamal once told her while working on a film, "Let the character be the person on screen, not you." It is an advice that Radikaa said she put to use for her performance in the upcoming film.

Radikaa underwent a rigorous prosthetic makeup process to achieve the look for her character in it. She revealed that a picture capturing her transformation made filmmaker Bharathiraja emotional. Also produced by Sudhan Sundaram of Passion Studios, Thaai Kizhavi is slated for a February 27 release in theatres.
