Harish Kalyan steals the show in ‘Rap Battle’ song from Dashamakan

Dashamakan marks Harish Kalyan’s 15th outing as a lead actor and his second collaboration with director Vineeth Varaprasad after Lift

Harish Kalyan channels his rapper energy in the first single from his upcoming film Dashamakan. Titled 'Rap Battle', the song was unveiled on Monday. Britto Michael has composed the single, which has rap portions rendered by MC Rude, MJ Suriya, Smile Tupakeys, MC Vijay Sandy, VJ Vijay & KT. Harish Kalyan is seen indulging in a battle with a gang of boys in the video.

Dashamakan marks Harish Kalyan’s 15th outing as a lead actor and his second collaboration with director Vineeth Varaprasad after Lift. The film features Preity Mukhundhan as the female lead, with Sathyaraj and Sunil appearing in pivotal roles. Along with directing and writing, Vineeth Varaprasad is also producing the project.

Apart from music by Britto Michael, Dashamakan has cinematography by Karthik Ashokan and editing by G Madan. The film is gearing up for release in both Tamil and Telugu, with the release date yet to be announced.

Harish Kalyan was last seen in Diesel, which hit theatres for Diwali last year. Helmed by Shanmugham Muthusamy, the action thriller also starred Vinay Rai, Sai Kumar, Ananya, Karunaas, Bose Venkat, Ramesh Thilak, Kaali Venkat, Vivek Prasanna, and Sachin Khedekar, among others. It revolves around a driven and determined young man who is forced to confront ruthless and corrupt authorities after becoming ensnared in the dangerous web of the diesel mafia. The film is currently streaming on Sun NXT, Aha and Prime Video.
