Rajinikanth remembers V Tamil Azhagan

Rajinikanth and late producer V Tamil Azhagan collaborated on Baashha and Moondru Mugam, among other films

Rajinikanth took to social media to remember the late producer V Tamil Azhagan. The eldest son of producer-politician RM Veerappan, Tamil Azhagan passed away on February 14.

Taking to his X handle, Rajinikanth wrote, "The eldest son of the respected late RM Veerappan, and my beloved younger brother V Tamil Azhagan was a good man."

He added, "His sudden passing causes me immense grief. May his soul rest in peace. My deepest condolences to his family."

Tamil Azhagan has produced films starring Rajinikanth, like SP Muthuraman's Ranuva Veeran (1981), Jagannathan's Moondru Mugam (1982), P Vasu's Panakkaran (1990), Suresh Krissna's Baashha (1995).

He has also produced the Kamal Haasan-starrer Kaaki Sattai (1985), which was directed by Rajasekhar, and RV Udayakumar's Pudhiya Vaanam (1988). Apart from producing those films he has directed Manthira Punnagai (1986) and Nila Pennae (1990).

His last rites is to be conducted at 5:00 pm today, at his residence in Thirumalai Pillai Road, T Nagar.
