One big family. One big legacy at stake. Madhavan's Periyavar has built a sprawling and strong empire that commands power and respect in Netflix's upcoming series Legacy, but several incidents trigger unrest that force him to rethink who will be the heir to his mighty throne. At the centre of it are characters who will change the entire political milieu - Gautham Ram Karthik, Nimisha Sajayan, Gulshan Deviah, and Abhishek Banerjee, with some of them conspiring to overthrow everything built till date. The upcoming series is directed and created by Charukesh Sekar and has music by Ilaiyaraaja.

According to the official logline, the series follows "an ageing patriarch of a powerful crime family" as he "races against time to anoint a successor to protect his mighty empire from an inevitable siege. He will have to fight to save the family, his empire and most importantly - his legacy."

Produced by Kalyan Subramanian of Stone Bench Pvt Ltd, the series also stars Swaswika, Kaali Venkat, Harish Uthaman, and Ramesh Thilak in key roles. 

A release date for Legacy is yet to be announced by the streamer.
