Actor Gulshan Devaiah, who is currently promoting his upcoming series, The Perfect Family, has opened up about sharing the screen with Madhavan in Netflix's Legacy, which will mark his Tamil debut.
Gulshan said to Mid-Day, "I felt weak in the knees every time I saw him. He plays my father-in-law. There was something magnetic about that look. All the girls [on the set] were going gaga over him, and I said, ‘You have to go over my dead body. I’m getting to him first.'"
Previously, revealing details about his role in the series, Gulshan said in a statement, "Legacy is a wonderful opportunity for me to find linguistic diversity in my career. After about 14 years of working primarily only in Hindi, I feel settled enough to spread my wings a bit and fly. I play a cop who is struggling with his sense of responsibility towards his duty, family, and self. It’s been a very satisfying experience for me with Legacy."
According to the official logline, the series follows "an ageing patriarch of a powerful crime family" as he "races against time to anoint a successor to protect his mighty empire from an inevitable siege. He will have to fight to save the family, his empire and most importantly – his legacy."
Legacy also stars Nimisha Sajayan, Gautham Karthik, Vaiyapuri, Abhishek Banerjee, Swaswika, Kaali Venkat, Harish Uthaman, and Ramesh Thilak.
The series is written and directed by Charukesh Sekar, who previously helmed the Telugu film Ammu, starring Aishwarya Lekshmi, Naveen Chandra, and Bobby Simha. The series is produced by Kalyan Subramanian of Stone Bench Pvt Ltd. A premiere date for the series is yet to be announced.
