Filmmaker Desingh Periyasamy, known for making his debut with Dulquer Salmaan's hit Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal, had a lot of good things to say about the upcoming rom-com With Love, starring filmmaker Abishan Jeevinth in his acting debut along with Anaswara Rajan.
During a pre-release event of With Love, the director said that the film made him smile throughout the runtime. "With Love felt like a therapy. Every phase of the screenplay, be it school, college and youth days, every phase was so relatable." He went on to congratulate the leads for their performances.
He praised the debut director Madhan for doing a "brilliant job" and that his work barely gives it away that he is making his first film. He added that With Love will be a sweet film for this Valentine's Day.
Desingh turned everyone's attention towards him after delivering a hit with Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal, and both cinema fans and industry insiders were eagerly awaiting his sophomore effort. He is set to helm Silambarasan TR's 50th film, tentatively titled STR 50, up next.
With Love marks the directorial debut of Madhan, who worked as an assistant director to Abishan in Tourist Family. The film features Abishan and Anaswara as lovers who embark on a journey to confess their unspoken love to their old crushes.
Sean Roldan is composing music for the film, with cinematographer Shreyaas Krishna and editor Sureshkumar K rounding out the technical crew.
