Prabhu and Sukanya will reunite on a new project, after 31 years, titled Mary Gold. The upcoming film will also stars Rakshan and Namritha MV in the lead.
Described as a family drama, the makers of Mary Gold, tease the film to be about aan intriguing rivalry between characters from Tirunelveli and Thoothukudi. The upcoming film will be directedd by Priyan Rajenddran and produced by R Ravindran under his Trident Arts banner. Sanjay Vijayraghavan serves as the creative producer.
The cast of Mary Gold also includes Singampuli, Vadivukkarasi, Imaan Annachi, Vivek Prasanna, Stalin and Vadivel Murugan, among others.
Siddhu Kumar composes the music for the film, which includes cinematographer Mallikarjun, editor R Nirmal, art director G Durai Raj, and stunt director Abishek Srinivasan.
Prabhu an Sukanya have previously worked together on Senthamizh Paattu (1992), Chinna Mappillai (1993) and Mr Madras (1995). The former will also be seen in the Nayanthara-Kavin film, Hi which is set to release on August 28.
