Actor Vaibhav's film Maaruvesham has been slated to release in theatres worldwide on October 1, the makers announced earlier this Wednesday. They captioned the announcement post, "The wait is almost over. A murder. A puzzle. A truth waiting to be revealed. Mystery unfolds on October 1." Written and directed by Srini, with an additional screenplay by S Isaiamudan, the murder mystery marks the 30th film in Vaibhav's career. The upcoming film also stars Ramki, Viyana, George Maryan, Munishkanth, Livingston, Vivek Prasanna, Indhumathi, George V, Cell Murugan , Mu Ramasamy, and Sebastian, among others.
According to IANS, Maaruvesham stars Vaibhav as a police officer who enters the law enforcement profession out of a penchant for solving mysterious crime. While he takes charge at a police station that seldom gets cases challenging the instincts of an officer like him, things become more interesting for him when he gets engaged in a new murder case.
On the technical front, Maaruvesham has composer Rajkumar Amal, cinematographer Balaji K Raja, editor NB Srikanth, art director Manikandan Srinivasan, and stunt choreographers Dinesh Kasi and Ganesh.
The film is produced by Vijay Anand and Vaibhav under the banners of Oneiromancy Pictures and Monkey Man Company.
Vaibhav recently starred in films such as Perusu and Chennai City Gangsters, both of which hit theatres last year. His upcoming film Maaruvesham is set to clash at the box office with director Balaji Tharaneetharan and Vijay Sethupathi's Baththa and filmmaker Ram's Yezhu Kadal Yezhu Malai, starring Nivin Pauly, Anjali, and Soori.
