Earlier this Tuesday, actor-producer Vishnuu Vishal offered some clarity about his film with director Arunraja Kamaraj amidst speculation casting uncertainty over its development. In a note he shared on social media, Vishnuu acknowledged the speculation and revealed that he and Arunraja have decided to not proceed with the film. Saying that the audience deserves to learn about it from the official sources, Vishnuu shared, "This project was one I had been looking forward to for the past year, and I had been preparing strenuously for it over the last ten months. It was a film I hoped to begin after the release of Gatta Kusthi 2, and I was excited to bring it to life."
The statement further added, "Unfortunately, in recent times, the project has run into creative differences with the director, along with budgeting issues. Budgeting, in fact, seems to be one of the biggest challenges the industry is grappling with right now. I tried my best to make things work, but despite every effort, we have decided not to move forward with the project."
Calling it "a difficult situation" for not just him but also Arunraja, Vishnuu Vishal conveyed his best wishes to the director for his future endeavours while revealing that it will take time for the legal settlement of the issue. The actor also expressed his excitement for his future projects while admitting that it was a tough call to shelve the project with Arunraja.
Vishnuu Vishal's upcoming projects include Irandu Vaanam, directed by Ramkumar and co-starring Mamitha Baiju. He is also one of the producers of Yellow Yellow Dirty Fellow, starring his cousin brother Rudra alongside Preethi Asrani.
"Right now, my focus is on the upcoming release of my film Irandu Vaanam and my brother's film Yellow Yellow Dirty Fellow. Also, I'm working on something really exciting and unique, and will be dropping the official announcement very soon," the actor-producer signed off.
