Vishwanath and Sons trailer: Suriya, Mamitha Baiju navigate a complicated attraction amidst grave circumstances in the film

The trailer for Suriya's Vishwanath and Sons, written and directed by Lucky Bhaskar-fame Venky Atluri, have been unveiled by the makers. The upcoming romantic drama, which also features Mamitha Baiju in the lead, is set to open in theatres on August 14.

A competitive and driven Sanjay Vishwanath (Suriya), is shown to win the gold medal for pistol shooting at the Paris 2024 Olympics, when his only child is diagnosed with a grave health problem. This prompts Sanjay to reconnect with his child's surrogate mother (Mamitha Baiju), with whom he is hesitant to build a relationship with, in fear of it breaking down. The trailer hints at the rest of the film, involving the Suriya and Mamitha's characters figuring out their relationship.

The cast of the film also includes Radikaa Sarathkumar, Raveena Tandon, Nasser, Sudha, Raghu Babu, Sunil Reddy, Bhavani Sri, Viva Harsha, Kaali Venkat, George Maryan, Hyper Aadhi, Srija Ravi, Sarvadaman Banerjee, Mathew Varghese, Kalyani Natarajan, Karate Karthik, and Master Charvik.

Reuniting with Suriya after Soorarai Pottru (2021) is GV Prakash Kumar, who has compose music for Vishwanath and Sons.

Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya are producing the film. Sithara Entertainments, Fortune Four Cinemas, and Srikara Studios are the banners backing the film.
