Composer Sai Abhyankkar took to social media to share some updates about multiple projects. His latest release, which is his sophomore Tamil film soundtrack, is Suriya's Karuppu. The composer is also set to reunite with Suriya on the latter's 48th film.

With Karuppu, the soundtrack was released alongside the film's release, with tracks like 'Raathu Raasan' and 'Karuppa Kooda Vaa' becoming chartbusters. The composer took to social media to reveal that the final master copy of the film's original soundtrack (OST), has been completed and that it is set for a release.

Meanwhile, a social media user tweeted to the composer's tweet on Karuppu's OST, about his expectations for Abhyankkar's next with Suriya, which is tentatively titled S48. Abhyankkar replied to the user by writing, "More different genres and exciting Voices."

Karuppu was written and directed by RJ Balaji, with Trisha, Natty Natraj, Indrans, Anagha Maya Ravi, and others starring alongside Suriya and the director himself. The film opened to positive critical response and became a hit at the box office.

Meanwhile, Suriya will reunite with director TJ Gnanavel, for his 48th film, after Jai Bhim (2021). Kayadu Lohar will also star in the film, which is backed by Hombale Films banner.
