Music composer Sai Abhyankkar joined the celebrations around the release of his latest film, Karuppu, early on Friday and expressed his admiration for the film's lead, Suriya. Taking to X, Sai wrote, “For my dearest Suriya sir, love you.”
The composer-singer also reflected on the overwhelming response to the film’s soundtrack. Calling it a “memorable win” for his team, the musician thanked listeners for embracing the album, which had gained popularity ahead of movie’s theatrical release. He added, “Really moved by all your love, kindness and unwavering support makkale (people).”
Sai further extended his gratitude to filmmaker-actor RJ Balaji, acknowledging the director’s “support, love and trust” throughout the project. He thanked Balaji for believing in him and giving him the confidence to deliver an album that connected with the audience.
While Karuppu marks Sai Abhyankkar's second Tamil release, and his third film soundtrack, it is worth noting that he joined the film in place of AR Rahman.
Karuppu follows the titular God in a lawyer avatar, fighting for reform, after called upon by believers in distress. The film also stars Trisha, RJ Balaji, Natty, Swasika, Sshivadha, Anagha Maya Ravi, and Supreeth Reddy, among others.
