Dhanush gets mobbed by fans outside Thiruvannamalai temple amid Om shoot

Scheduled to open in theatres on October 16, Dhanush's Om also stars Mammootty, Sreeleela, Sai Pallavi, Naseeruddin Shah and Indrans

Dhanush, who is currently filming for the much-anticipated Om Chapter 1: Udhiram - The Blood Wood from director Rajkumar Periasamy, was seen outside the popular Annamalaiyar Temple in Thiruvannamalai on Saturday. Reports suggest that he was shooting for the upcoming project which is currently in its last leg of filming.

As he was getting inside his car, a swarm of fans gathered around him, trying to take pictures and videos. Dhanush was also visibly struggling to leave from the location as he was being mobbed by fans. A video from the venue is now being shared widely across social media. 

Om marks the third directorial of Rajkumar Periasamy, who was recently announced as the winner of a National Award for his 2024 film Amaran, starring Sivakarthikeyan.

Scheduled to open in theatres on October 16, Om also stars Mammootty, Sreeleela, Sai Pallavi, Naseeruddin Shah and Indrans, among others. The film marks Naseeruddin's return to Tamil cinema 26 years after his Tamil debut in Hey Ram. Plot details are currently unknown. The film is produced by Dhanush himself under the Wunderbar Films banner and Shraddha Agrawal of R Take Studios.

Besides Om, Dhanush has Tamizharasan Pachamuthu's untitled D56 which is expected to start shoot towards the end of this month. He is also set to reunite with Mari Selvaraj after Karnan for a film which will feature music by AR Rahman. It was recently revealed that Dhanush will also join hands once again with Vetri Maaran for Thamizh Murugan, written by noted author Arivumathi.
