Amidst rumours that Rajinikanth's upcoming film Thalaivar 173 will once again undergo a replacement with reports on filmmaker Cibi Chakravarthy's exit, Malayalam actor Basil Joseph has hinted that he is a part of a 'big film', posing a question on reports of Cibi's replacement.

To put things in perspective, Basil is rumoured to play Rajinikanth's son in Thalaivar 173. With this casting report based on Cibi's script for the film, Basil hinting at him being a part of the project suggests that there is no change in the team. Speaking at the YouTube channel Behindwoods event, the actor said that he is part of a very 'big film' and he cannot disclose much about it right now.

He went on to reveal that his first full-fledged Tamil film, Raawadi, will be released either in May or June. Sharing details about the role, the actor said he is not playing the lead, but he stars in a very crucial role.

Cibi is known for directing Don, starring Sivakarthikeyan. The filmmaker’s selection for Thalaivar 173, produced by Kamal Haasan under Raaj Kamal Films International, came after Sundar C's widely discussed exit from the project.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth recently said that the film would be a piece of commercial entertainment. With Kamal Haasan set to produce the film under his banner Raaj Kamal Films International, composer Anirudh is part of the project.
