Vijay Sethupathi surprises Muthu Kumar on his birthday; Thaai Kizhavi actor shares heartfelt thanks

Actor Muthu Kumar, who was recently seen in a key role in Radikaa Sarathkumar's hit drama Thaai Kizhavi, had pleasant surprise on Friday when fellow actor and his friend Vijay Sethupathi knocked on his door to celebrate his birthday with his family.

The actor shared pictures from the celebration he had at his home where he cut cake shared it with his family and Vijay Sethupathi. Following the event, Muthu Kumar wrote a heartfelt post on his social media handles, expressing his gratitude to the Thalaivan Thalaivii actor.

"My friendship with actor Vijay Sethupathi goes back to our days at Koothu-P-Pattarai. Yesterday (24/04/2026), without any prior notice, he came all the way to my home and wished me a happy birthday, bringing immense joy to me and my family. My heartfelt thanks to my friend Vijay Sethupathi for this wonderful gesture! Thank you so much for your great love, my friend," he wrote.

The actor recently shared screenspace with Vijay Sethupathi in his latest web series Muthu Engira Kaattaan, directed by M Manikandan. He has previously also worked with him in Petta. His recently releases also include The Pet Detective and Lucky The Superstar. Up next, he is awaiting the release of Arulnithi's Demonte Colony 3.

Thaai Kizhavi, which featured him in a key antagonist role, garnered critical and commercial acclaim and is currently streaming on JioHotstar.
