Tamil Nadu Elections 2026: Actor Jiiva has become the latest Tamil Film personality to weigh in on the importance of voting on the polling day of the Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections.

Speaking to ANI, Jiiva said, "It is our responsibility to vote. I request all the youngsters to come out of their comfort zone and vote. I am sure the state will be benefit from this."

For Jiiva, the polling day arrives a day after the 15 year anniversary of his political thriller, Ko (2011). Directed by KV Anand, who wrote the script along with Subha, the film follows a photographer whose role in covering an up and coming party run by youngsters, puts him in the center of a larger conspiracy.

Citizens of Tamil Nadu can vote from 7:00 am to 06:00 pm at their local polling stations, today (April 23). The votes will be counted and results will be announced on May 4.
