Actor Silambarasan TR cast his vote at Hindi Prachar Sabha in T Nagar, Chennai, earlier today. The actor then spoke to the media about the trends in the Tamil Nadu Election this year and more. Thanks to the fact that Vijay is contesting for CM this time around, it appears that youngsters are paying more attention to the goings-on in the election as compared to the past.

Speaking about the renewed attention from them in the political event, Silambarasan said, "It is great to see youngsters spiritedly lining up along with everyone to vote. People are already very clear; they are not in a position where they need advice."

Leading up to the election, Vijay faced much flak from his critics after he dropped his bicycle and ran away when someone threw flowers to him. The actor and TVK chief's detractors used derogatory words to criticise his actions.

"No matter which field you come from, criticism will definitely arise—you have to face it," Silambarasan said in response to a question about Vijay being called a derogatory word for a performer.

The actor also requested people not to lure him into politics. When asked whether he would like to enter politics, he said, "I’ve just come through many different issues; please do not drag me into this now."
