The Chennai Cyber Crime police have arrest three people in connection to the leak of the entirety of Vijay's Jana Nayagan. These arrests come after six people were arrested on April 12.

In a press release the Cyber Crime wing has revealed that the main accused is a freelance editor who gained access to the film's footage and stole it. After rendering the footage, the accused shared the footage with the co-accused, leading to widespread circulation.

After the initial discovery of the leaks on April 9, various film personalities across the Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada film industries like Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Chiranjeevi, and Rishab Shetty, expressed their support to Jana Nayagan's makers and condemned the actions of the accused.

On April 14, a cable operator in Coimbatore was arrested after he broadcasted a pirated version of Jana Nayagan.

Today (April 16), the Madras High Court has passed an interim order, which restricts cable operators and internet service providers against broadcasting or facilitating exploitation of illegal footage of Jana Nayagan, reported Bar and Bench. The order was passed after KVN Productions, the banner backing the film, filed a suit.

Written and directed by H Vinoth, Jana Nayagan is Vijay's last film before he retires from films for politics. The film also stars Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, and Bobby Deol, among others.
