Actor Gautham Ram Karthik, who will be seen in the spy thriller Mr X, has opened up that he regrets working in the film Muthuramalingam.
In a recent interview, the actor had said that he "genuinely regrets" working on that project. He blamed his "lack of knowledge and understanding" of the script for taking up the project.
But he added that after that fiasco, he did want to flirt with the genre again and worked in Devarattam, directed by Muthiah. Though he agrees that this film has created ripples in B and C centres, he is still afraid to work on mass masala films.
Directed by Manu Anand, the film, headlined by Arya, also stars Sarathkumar, Manju Warrier, Athulyaa Ravi, Raiza Wilson, Jayaprakash, Kaali Venkat, and Anagha.
The film is based on seven real incidents that took place in India between 1965 and 2023.
Releasing on Friday, Mr X features Arul Vincent cranking the camera, Dhibu Ninan Thomas composing the music, and Prasanna GK handling the editing. Backed by Vineet Jain and S Lakshman Kumar, the film is co-produced by A Venkatesh.
