Earlier this Saturday, we reported about Jana Nayagan star Pooja Hegde's statement on the leak of the film online. The latest actor from the H Vinoth directorial to speak about it is Mamitha Baiju, who plays a key role alongside Vijay in it.

Taking to X, Mamitha wrote, "A film comes to life through the hard work, passion, and commitment of so many people who give their best every single day. It's truly disappointing to see it being circulated illegally. Some moments are meant to be experienced together on the big screen, just as they were intended."

The actor also requested the audience not to share the leaked Jana Nayagan print. "Let's wait and enjoy it the right way when it officially releases. Please don't support piracy. It's the only way we can safeguard cinema and everyone behind it," the actor added.

Mamitha's statement on the issue comes a day after the premature circulation of the film on the internet. It has happened shortly after Vijay made an indirect dig at the opposition for playing a part in the delay over the release of the film. As reported earlier, Vijay's final film is yet to have censorship clearance.

Amidst the censorship row and the delay in its theatrical release, Prime Video reportedly relinquished its digital rights. As per recent reports, the streamer acquired its rights for a whopping 121 crore from KVN Productions.

Amidst multiple controversies affecting the film, the most recent reports suggest that it will only release after the Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections, where Vijay is contesting for the CM's post.
