Yash’s Toxic has been slated for a June 4 release in theatres. There’s strong buzz that Vijay’s Jana Nayagan, also produced by KVN Productions, might come out the same month. If this happens, KVN could release both high-budget films with a gap of just 15 days.
The team behind Toxic has confirmed that the film will be in theaters on Thursday, June 4. The makers mentioned that uncertainty in the Middle East affected their plans to reach the largest global audience possible. They stated, “In the interest of our partners and viewers, we have rescheduled the release date.”
Toxic was first announced in December 2023. It was initially scheduled for April 10, 2026, was then moved to March 19, and is finally set for June 4. With the Indian Premier League running from late March to the end of May, it looks like the team has chosen a clearer window in early June.
Jana Nayagan, which was supposed to release on January 9 during the festive season and before the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, has also been postponed. Sources say KVN is considering June 18 as a potential date for the film, close to Vijay’s birthday. Insiders believe that by then, the IPL and election excitement would come down, allowing audiences to return to theaters without any distractions.
The key question is whether KVN will actually release Toxic on June 4 and Jana Nayagan around June 18. Trade analysts estimate that the combined budgets for these two films exceed ₹1,000 crore. Releasing films of that scale back to back is a daring move.
For now, Toxic is confirmed for June 4. As for Jana Nayagan, there’s still no word, and in the film industry, silence often indicates planning.
In addition to these two films, KVN is preparing to release KD, which is now set for April 30. The company also has an Akshay Kumar film in post-production, a project with the team behind Manjummel Boys, and a film with Chiranjeevi that will start production soon. For KVN Productions, 2026 is set to be a significant year.
