Vetri is introduced as a prisoner named Arivumathi, while Rangaraj Pandey is a jailer named Sivanandham in the character introduction video of Lakshmikanthan Kolai Vazhakku. The video was unveiled by the makers on Wednesday.

The video also introduces the rest of the lead cast. Brigida Saga plays Mallika, Saravanan is Sargunam, Lollu Sabha Maaran plays Murthi, Lizzie Antony is Soodamani, and Subramaniam Siva essays Dharman. The film's cast also comprises Logan Kannan, Narmadha, Aruvi Madhan, Kanya Bharathy, Suba Veerapandian and Kavitha Bharathy, among others.

Lakshmikanthan Kolai Vazhakku is helmed by Dayal Padmanabhan. The film is backed by KV Shabarreesh under the 2m Cinemas banner, alongside the film's director, Dayal Padmanabhan, who co-produces under his home banner, D Pictures. The filmmaker, who has won two Karnataka State Film Awards, made his Tamil debut with Kondraal Paavam in 2023 and followed it up with Maruthi Nagar Police Station.

Lakshmikanthan Kolai Vazhakku will have MV Panneerselvam cranking the camera, Darbuka Siva composing music and Anbu heading the production design. With the film currently in post-production, a tentative release date is yet to be announced by the makers.
