Actor Sriman is overcome with emotion after a recent meeting with his longtime friend, actor-politician Vijay. Sriman appeared in a video on X and said that he came to know about Vijay's imminent arrival at Thoothukudi Airport soon after he landed there. "It has been around two and a half months since we last met, because nobody would disturb him in these busy times. Therefore, I decided to take a chance and see if I can meet him," the actor said.
He also stated that there was a large number of audiences at the airport and that Vijay had an exit different from his.
"Despite all this, he came up to me and asked me, 'What are you doing here?' I told him that I was there as part of a film shoot, and he told me, 'Is that so? Do well.'"
Sriman added that, despite Vijay's busy schedule amidst his campaign for the Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections, he cared about his friend. "You might think that I am saying all this for comments, out of partisanship or any other reason. However, I meant to highlight the respect he shows for his friendship," Sriman added. The actor conveyed his blessings and best wishes to his longtime friend in the upcoming elections.
The two actors have been longtime friends and collaborators. They worked on films such as Love Today (1997), Friends (2001), Vaseegara (2003), Pokkiri (2007), Master (2021), and Varisu (2023). Sriman even appeared in Malaysia for the audio launch of Jana Nayagan, Vijay's final film as an actor.
