Naangal, the debut feature from Avinash Prakash, is all set to premiere on OTT nearly a year after its initial release. The film was first released on April 18 and pulled out of theatres. Later, it was released again in theatres on December 12.

Set in Ooty during the late 90s, Naangal follows three boys and their lives under a strict father, whose wife is separated from him, as they come of age. Naangal's cast includes Mithun V, Rithvik M, Nithin D, Abdul Rafe, Prarthana Srikkanth, John E, Tanika Guruprasad, and K Hariharan. The director's own dog Roxy is also featured in the film.

Naangal is all set to premiere on Sun NXT on April 10. The film is produced by GVS Raju under the Kala Bhavashri Creations banner. An excerpt from CE's review of the film reads, "With this significant usage of colours, director Avinash moves the story forward with subtle touches. Instead of suggestive music or flashy dialogues, the director frames a scene in order for us to feel the emotions instead of merely focusing on feeding information to the audience. Also, the film's cinematographer and editor, Avinash, uses the camera to help us understand the extent of the father‘s control over his children."

Along with writing and directing the film, Avinash Prakash is also the cinematographer and writer for this film. Vrajbala J is the production designer of the film. Ved Shanker Sugavanam composed the music, and with lyrics by Sujatha N. Saindhavi has sung a song for Naangal.
