Dhruv Vikram to star in a boxing film next?

While nothing is official yet, the actor's recent Instagram Story hints at what kind of film he might star in next

Actor Dhruv Vikram has received much appreciation for his performance in Mari Selvaraj's Bison Kaalamaadan, where he played a character based on Arjuna Award-winning Kabaddi player Manathi Ganesan. Since then, information has been scarce about what his next film would be like, although there has been much speculation about it.

Meanwhile, Dhruv Vikram posted on his Instagram Stories a clip where he can be seen practicing kickboxing with someone else. "New film. New skill. New sport. New drill," he wrote as the caption for the post. While nothing is official yet, the actor's post hints at what kind of film he might star in next.

The post comes only a few days after he shared a throwback still from the sets of Adithya Varma, his 2019 Arjun Reddy remake. Meanwhile, there has been some speculation about him teaming up with Mythri Movie Makers for a Telugu-Tamil bilingual.

According to Telugu 360, Mythri Movie Makers is set to back the film, with Karan Aravind Kumar attached to the project as a director. It is worth noting that Karan Aravind Kumar also worked on Adithya Varma, as a Second Unit or Assistant Director according to IMDb. Notably, Karan is also one of the writers of Karuppu, starring Suriya and directed by RJ Balaji.

Reportedly, composer Sai Abhyankkar is also attached to the upcoming bilingual, starring Dhruv, and the makers are now searching for a female lead for the film.

Further, there has also been some speculation about Dhruv starring in a Telugu film alongside Rukmini Vasanth, best known for her roles in Kantara: Chapter 1 and the Sapta Sagaradaache Ello franchise.

An official confirmation is yet to come regarding these projects, but the prospect of Dhruv starring in a sports film once again is sure to his excite fans.
