Natty Natraj is introduced as a film star who has marked his entry in politics in the teaser for TN 2026, which was unveiled on Thursday. Helmed by Umapathy Ramaiah, the film has a story by Thambi Ramaiah. The film has two taglines, namely, 'Thanga Natchathiram' and 'Time to lead'.

The teaser starts by establishing that an actor has converted his fan clubs into a political party and has thereby entered politics. We see existing politicians opposing a cinema star's entry into politics. We are then introduced to Natty, who has amassed massive support even before becoming a full-fledged politician. The teaser hints at taking a dig at several real-life incidents from Tamil Nadu politics, including some from the upcoming elections.

TN 2026 is produced by Kannan Ravi under his Kannan Ravi Groups banner, with Deepak Ravi serving as a co-producer. The film also stars Thambi Ramaiah, Ilavarasu, MS Bhaskar, Shrrita Rao, Chandini Tamilarasan, Viji Chandrasekar, Vadivukkarasi, Redin Kingsley, John Vijay, Aadukalam Naren, VJ Andrews, Sathyan, and Jawa Sunderasan, among others.

Previously, the makers released a first-look poster which shows Natty Natraj as a politician in the midst of his followers, which includes the characters of Ilavarasu, MS Bhaskar, Thambi Ramaiah, and Redin Kingsley, showing their support.

Darbuka Siva is composing music for the film, with lyrics written by Karthik Netha, Mohan Rajan, and Vignesh Ramakrishna. Director of photography PG Muthiah, editor Arul R Thangam, art director NK Rahul, and stunt choreographer Mahesh Mathew round out the film's crew.

TN 2026 is gearing up to open in theatres on April 10 ahead of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly elections, scheduled for April 23.
