Late actor MR Radha's wife and Radikaa Sarathkumar's mother Geetha Radha has passed away on Sunday. She was 86.
Geetha, who was suffering from age-related illnesses and other health issues over the last few years, passed away at her residence. Her demise has saddened family members and industry veterans.
Late actor-politician MR Radha had 12 children from his three wives. His four sons were MRR Vasu, MR Radha Ravi, Raju and Mohan. He also had eight daughters including Rashya, Rani, Rathikala, Ganavalli, Kasturi, Rajeswari, Radhika Sarathkumar and Nirosha.
His elder son, Vasu, was a well-known character actor until the mid-1980s. Another son, Radha Ravi, is also an actor. His daughter Radikaa, an actor and producer, is married to actor-politician Sarathkumar. Nirosha, who primarily appears in supporting roles, is married to actor Ramki.
Geetha was celebrated for her philanthropical work to uplift the underprivileged. Her last rites are expected to take place on Monday at 4.30 pm at the Besant Nagar crematorium in Chennai.
