Kamal Haasan mourns Robo Shankar: Tomorrow is ours, because you left tomorrow for us

Kamal Haasan took to social media to remember actor-comedian Robo Shankar, who passed away in the late hours of September 18. The comedian was afflicted with severe health afflictions, which comes after battling severe health issues.

Taking to X, Kamal Haasan wrote, "Robo Shankar. Robo is your moniker, but in my dictionary you are a human. And because of that you are my younger brother. Will your passing ever seperate us? It was your time, so you left. But it isn't my time, so I remain. Tomorrow is ours, because you left tomorrow for us."

Robo Shankar fainted on the set of a newly launched project on Monday, after which he was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai. After days of battling severe illness, he passed away on 08:30 pm on September 18.

The actor who rose to fame with Kalakka Povadhu Yaaru, is known for his roles in films like Maari, Singam 3VelaikkaranKalakalappu 2Maari 2Iravin Nizhal, and Singapore Saloon. His last film role was in the recently released Sotta Sotta Nenaiyuthu.

He was survived by his wife Priyanka, daughter Indraja, and one grandson. His last rites will be conducted at his house at Valasarvakkam, Chennai, on September 19.
