Acclaimed composer Vidyasagar's son Harsha Vardhan, who is also a musician and singer is reportedly set to become an actor with director Lingusamy's upcoming film. According to several social media and news reports, the upcoming film would be a romantic road movie like Karthi's hit film Paiyaa. However, an official confirmation is yet to come from the makers.

Harsha Vardhan has made several music videos and conducted stage performances, some of which were part of his father's concerts. Other reports suggested that he has signed a three-film deal with Dream Warrior Pictures production company.

Vidyasagar has been working in the Tamil film industry since 1988. He made his debut as a film composer in the 1989 Tamil film Poo Manam and has worked in over 225 feature films, with most of his songs dubbed as 'evergreen hits'. He is considered one of the finest and most acclaimed composers in Indian cinema.

Director Lingusamy, who made his directorial debut with the much-acclaimed multistarrer family drama Aanandham, is best known for his action films Run (2002), Sandakozhi (2005), Bheemaa (2008), Vettai (2012) and Anjaan (2014). Paiyaa (2010), starring Karthi and Tamannaah Bhatia, the film received positive response from audiences. He last directed The Warriorr (2022), which marked his Telugu debut. Shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil, the film stars Ram Pothineni and Krithi Shetty in lead roles.
