Sivakarthikeyan took to social media to share the words of appreciation that actor Rajinikanth had for the former's performance in Madharaasi. The film, directed by AR Murugadoss, was released on September 5.

Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) handle, Sivakarthikeyan shared, "Just received the appreciation for Madharaasi from my idol, my Thalaivar Superstar Rajinikanth sir." The actor also shared that Rajinikanth said, "My god, excellent! Enna performance! (What a performance!) Enna actions! (What excellent action sequences!) Super super SK! Enakku romba pudichirundhadhu. (I liked the film so much.) Action hero aagiteenga. (You've become an action hero.) God bless, God bless."

Sivakarthikeyan ended his tweet by saying, "Heartfelt wishes from my Thalaivar, along with his trademark laugh, Love you Thalaivaaaaa."

Madharaasi, also stars Vidyut Jammwal, Rukmini Vasanth, Biju Menon, Shabeer Kallarakal, and Vikranth. Director Shankar, a recurring collaborator of Rajinikanth's, also conveyed his admiration for Sivakarthikeyan's performance in the film.
