Recently, we reported that the Tere Ishk Mein title track crossed 50 million views on YouTube within 3 days of its release. On Tuesday, the makers of the Dhanush-Kriti Sanon film unveiled the Tamil version of the song, titled 'O Kadhale'.

While Arijit Singh crooned the Hindi version of the song, which underlines the passionate love between Dhanush and Kriti's characters, Aditya RK has lent his voice for the Tamil version. With lyrics by Mashook Rahman, the AR Rahman composition is intense yet melodious.

The film promises yet another moving tale of love, loss, betrayal and heartbreak, reminiscent of Raanjhanaa (2013), the director's 2013 film with Dhanush.

The teaser, which was released earlier this month, opened with a haldi ceremony of Kriti’s character where Dhanush’s Shankar entered as an uninvited guest. His face was beaten up and swollen. A voiceover revealed that Shankar was coming straight from Varanasi after cremating his father. “I have brought Gangaajal for you so that you can wash your sins,” he tells Kriti before emptying a bottle on her. Flashbacks hinted at a love story, between Kriti’s character and Shankar, riddled with violence and addiction.

The film marks the third collaboration between Dhanush and Aanand, after Ranjhanaa (2013) and Atrangi Re (2021). This is the first time Kriti Sanon is joining forces with both the actor and the director. Aanand L Rai last directed Raksha Bandhan, starring Akshay Kumar, in 2022.
