Kriti Sanon opened up recently about working in Aanand L Rai’s Tere Ishk Mein and said that she is happy to be directed by him in the film. The actor was present at a special screening of Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor starrer, Raanjhanaa (2013), also helmed by Aanand, in Mumbai as it completed 12 years recently.
Speaking about Tere Ishk Mein at the event, Kriti said, “I am so, so glad to be a part of Tere Ishk Mein. It is coming this year. I am a huge fan of Raanjhanaa and all the artists involved in this film. Aanand sir ke toh main peeche hi padi thi ki ‘Aap kab love story bana rahe ho? (I was constantly asking Aanand sir about when is he making a love story)’ I am really, really happy that I have ticked the box of being directed by Aanand L Rai in a love story.”
She also spoke about sharing screen with Dhanush in the film and said, “I have always been a huge fan of Dhanush. It’s been a pleasure working with you. We still have some more days to go. So, I am looking forward to those few days that we have together on screen. If you all have loved Raanjhanaa so much that even after 12 years, you are here and if you love stories, hopefully you will enjoy Tere Ishk Mein. And hopefully, I will see you all in November end during a fan screening of this sort.”
Earlier, a first look video of Kriti from the film was unveiled by the makers. Her character is called Mukti in the movie.
Tere Ishk Mein, as per the makers, is set in the world of Raanjhanaa. AR Rahman, who also worked on Raanjhanaa, is composing the music for Tere Ishk Mein.
Tere Ishk Mein is slated to release in theatres on November 28.
