Mari Selvaraj show his appreciation for Manathi Ganesan

Manathi Ganesan's life was the inspiration for the story of Mari Selvaraj's Bison Kaalamaadan, with Dhruv Vikram essaying the role of Ganesan's life

Mari Selvaraj took to social media to show appreciation for Manathi Ganesan, the real life inspiration for Bison Kaalamaadan. In the film, Dhruv Vikram plays the role of Kittan, Ganesan's character.

Taking to X, Mari posted a video of Manathi Ganesan receiving the Arjun Award from the then President of India, Shankar Dayal Sharma. Captioning the video, Mari wrote, "Love you Ganesan Anna!!"

Bison is Mari Selvaraj's second film, which has its inspirations from real life incidents. His previous directorial Vaazhai, was based on tragedy that took the lives of labourers working on a banana plantation. The film was released in 2024.

Meanwhile, the cast of Bison also consists of Anupama Parameshwaran, Lal, Rajisha Vijayan, and Ameer, among others. It was released in theatres on October 17.
