Vishnu also dismissed the speculation that Aamir was supposed to star in the film's Tamil version itself

Actor Vishnu Vishal is coming back as a police officer hunting down a serial killer in the upcoming film Aaryan, directed by Praveen K. The actor recently revealed that he discussed the prospect of making the film in Hindi, with Aamir Khan to play the antagonist. In a conversation with Sudhir Srinivasan, Vishnu dismissed the speculation that Aamir was supposed to star in the Tamil version itself as the antagonist, saying, "It was always Selvaraghavan sir".

He also disclosed that they shot the film with Aamir for twenty days and showed the latter a teaser. Interestingly, Aamir suggested remaking the film in Hindi, with him starring as the antagonist. "He heard the story and loved it. Then, I asked him, 'Sir, do you think you can play the antagonist in Hindi?' He was like, 'Yeah, even I was thinking (of the same) while hearing the script.'"

Vishnu also confirmed that things could not work out between the two for the Hindi version. However, he admitted that "it was like a dream" for him to have that discussion, as he has taken inspiration from Aamir's filmography. "He does very different things in his movies, something very unusual, from the rest of the crowd. So somewhere, I have looked at him and wanted to have a filmography like his," said Vishnu.

Vishnu revealed that Aamir had "a moral question" about the Aaryan screenplay, suggesting the former to change it to accommodate him in the Hindi version, but the Ratsasan star did not "have an answer to it" and thus rejected the idea. Subsequently, during Coolie's launch, Aamir told Vishnu that he liked the latter's decision to stick with the original screenplay. He also said in jest that Aamir visited him recently and expressed second thoughts about doing the Hindi version.

Meanwhile, Aaryan is slated for an October 31 release in theatres.
