Vishnu Vishal is headlining and backing his long-awaited film Aaryan which hits theatres in a week. The film promises to be a gripping thriller where Vishnu Vishal dons the cop role again to nab a serial killer, sparking comparisons with his 2018 hit film Ratsasan, directed by Ram Kumar.
Although the actor-producer has denied it on multiple occasions, the speculation continues to remain afloat in many online and offline discussions. Putting an end to all of them, Vishnu Vishal donned a T-shirt that read 'Not Ratsasan' at the recent pre-release event of the film. His quirky and amusing choice tickled a funny bone for many and was received positively.
The event also saw him addressing many queries, including why he became a producer. He said that it takes a year or two for each of his films to complete due to the changes in producers. There have been multiple changes to the producers for his films Gatta Kusthi, Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran, and FIR. "Nine of my films were dropped after Ratsasan. I do not deserve all this. I have that pain and regret, which is why I became a full-fledged producer."
Directed by Praveen K, Aaryan has Vishnu Vishal's character racing against the clock to save a serial killer's victims. The killer, who likes to challenge the cops, discloses the name of the victim he is set to kill, exactly one hour before the crime is to take place. The cops realise that this is just the beginning of his killing spree and spring into action.
Vishnu Vishal is joined by actors Shraddha Srinath, Maanasa Choudhary, and Selvaraghavan in prominent roles in Aaryan. The film's technical crew comprises Harish Kannan as cinematographer, Ghibran as composer and editor San Lokesh. Apart from Tamil, the film is set to release in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. Produced by Vishnu Vishal's Vishnu Vishal Studioz, Aaryan is penned by the actor's FIR collaborator Manu Anand and is slated for release in theatres on October 31.
