Vignesh Shivan, who recently celebrated Diwali with Nayanthara and their two kids, shared a deeply personal and emotional post on his social media handles, reflecting on the lessons he has learned over the past few weeks. Expressing gratitude on the tenth anniversary of his first film Naanum Rowdy Thaan, he revealed that he had hoped the day would also mark the release of Love Insurance Kompany.

"I had dreamt of this day so differently — A day when Love Insurance Kompany would have reached all your hearts, when your smiles, your words, your love would have made this day even more special for me. Somewhere deep down, I had kept my happiness saved for that moment," he said. When the film's release was unexpectedly postponed to December to avoid clash with Pradeep Ranganathan's another film Dude, with debutant filmmaker Keerthiswaran, the filmmaker was disappointed, but he noted that life had taught him something "far more beautiful" on the same day.

"Even without the big moment, I find myself smiling — truly, peacefully. Maybe! this different Diwali, In a different city, Was meant to remind me — that happiness doesn’t always come with applause or astounding success or ambitious results or release dates," he added, sharing pictures of his family and the celebrations he had for the festival. Along with them, actors Rana Daggubati and Krithi Shetty were also seen posing for the pictures.

"We chase milestones thinking they’ll only make us happy, But happiness is not such a tough destination! If u keep the rules for it simple & silly. It can be a gentle pause from everything else that kept you busy! A sense of calmness , a feeling of satisfactionA warm hug from your loving wife.. that kiss - reassuring the deep love existing for over a decade! The innocent laughter from your babies looking straight into your eyes knowing nothing about the pain that’s hidden inside," the filmmaker said, underlining that family and friends' unconditional love is one of the "big wins we save our happiness for." Vignesh Shivan also said that he learnt how "winning" doesn't amount to happiness, and concluded the note hoping for good things to happen despite life taking its own course.

Earlier slated for release in theatres on October 17, along with Pradeep Ranganathan's Dude, Mari Selvaraj-Dhruv Vikram's Bison and Harish Kalyan's Disel, LIK has been postponed to December 18.

Taking to social media, the makers wrote in a statement, "Like two trains on the same track, a head-on collision helps no one. With genuine concern for our beloved hero Pradeep Ranganathan and respect for the efforts behind both films, we've thoughtfully decided to reschedule the release of LIK to December 18, 2025." The makers also mentioned that, "Despite our best efforts to coordinate with Mythri Movies, we couldn't find common ground and we believe it's wiser to let both films shine without overlap."

Apart from Pradeep Ranganathan's the sci-fi romantic film also stars Krithi Shetty, SJ Suryah, Yogi Babu, Seeman, Gouri Kishan, Shah Ra, Malavika, Mysskin, Anandaraj and Sunil Reddy in key roles.
