Mari Selvaraj’s Bison Kaalamaadan, starring Dhruv Vikram, is steadily gaining ground at the box office. After earning Rs 2.55 crore on its opening day, the film witnessed a solid 22.35 per cent jump on Saturday, collecting an estimated Rs 3.12 crore across India, according to Sacnilk.com. With this, Bison’s two-day total now stands at Rs 5.67 crore.

The rise in collections reflects the film’s positive word-of-mouth and strong audience response in regions like Trichy, Dindigul, and Madurai. The night shows on Saturday reportedly saw increased footfall, especially in single-screen theatres.

Though it was released alongside Pradeep Ranganathan’s mass entertainer Dude, which is dominating the box office with nearly Rs 20 crore in two days, Bison has carved out its own space thanks to Mari Selvaraj’s compelling direction and Dhruv Vikram’s powerful performance. The film’s strong emotional core and social commentary have resonated with a steady section of the audience.

Our CE review of the film read, "Bison is Mari Selvaraj’s most violent to date, and it is beautiful how the gore and bloodshed aren’t at the hands of the protagonist, but everywhere around him. It is a terrific exploration of the aftermath of violence and its unsettling consequences in the minds of the young and easily influenced."

Produced by Pa Ranjith and Aditi Anand under Neelam Studios in association with Applause Entertainment, Bison also features Anupama Parameshwaran, Lal, Ameer, Pasupathi, and Rajisha Vijayan. With positive reviews and festive holidays ahead, the film’s box office run is expected to gain further traction over the weekend.
